Many of us working at DWD Consultancy Services including Suvankar Sarkar felt the lack of freedom in this digital world, freedom to own, share experience & knowledge, freedom to repair and more. We had various ideas to make products(OS & devices) having freedom to the owner, but we failed. 2024 we started Siliconpin as not for profit but to create some digital freedom. Now we are providing development and support services for deviceDrivers, softwares and web, having intention to add other services as we grow. People like Richard Stallman, Eric S. Raymond and Bruce Perens felt the same and spread awareness using GPL and OpenSource - the result is very clear as we see the success of GNU plus Linux, Busybox, libreoffice etc.
But those products are not mainstream and polished enough to be used by common people rather than techy people.
So there is something we can do.
