what is GOPIOS
gopios is a digital tool that sits between your hardware and software, it is free and opensource in nature containing properiotary drivers mainly for NVIDIA, it comes with preloaded software that makes it useful for school, business and developers. individual users, schools can purchase gopios if they have extra money to support further development or simply get the iso install it and continue to use. siliconpin sells laptop, desktop and preinstalled gopios on external NVME drive. for enterprise there is a support and customization plan, under the hood it is a GNU os having GRUB as the boot loader, cachyos kernel -that powers the container platform to host Ubuntu, Kali, Alpine, Redhat derivatives and Windows installer. it also contains a ton of tools and softwares compiled by GCC and Rust, complete list can be found on the source code. The main component is KDE, this gopios is sitting on their shoulder. entire gopios team thanks them, we know only thank you is not enough.
why not gopioslinux
gopios use cachyos kernel, systemd and wayland still we think gopios is not a linux distribution, we waited years for the "Year of the Linux Desktop", we have waited for an hackable os that is stable, intutive for common people, having the capablity "it just works". a small team led by Suvankar Sarkar AKA "Kar" started gopios, hackable operating system that any one can build from source code, as Kar believes "if you can not build from source you should not trust it" . further development of gopios-core is stuck due to low funds. future release(version 4 or 5) of gopios will have gopios-core under the hood replacing cachyos kernel, systemd and wayland, separating network stack, move device drivers to userspace resulting fast performance and more stayble and easy installable and managable device drivers.
